6-digit pairing
A new device is paired using a 6-digit code displayed on the player screen. An administrator enters the code in the admin panel — no network configuration, no certificates, no manual IP setup required.
Pairing codes expire after 10 minutes. Paired devices appear in the device list immediately and begin receiving broadcasts on the next scheduled heartbeat.
Groups & locations
Devices organize into groups that reflect physical locations or logical categories — "Restaurant Geneva", "Lobby Displays", "Promotional Network". Groups are the primary unit for broadcast targeting and Default Playlist assignment.
A device can belong to one group at a time. Moving a device to a new group automatically reassigns its broadcast subscriptions and Default Playlist to the new group's settings.
Heartbeat monitoring
Players send a heartbeat every 30 seconds. The admin panel displays the last-seen timestamp and a colored status indicator: green (online, <60s), amber (warning, 60s–150s), red (offline, >150s).
Escalating alert thresholds

Screenshot viewer
The player captures a screenshot every 15 minutes and uploads it. Administrators view the latest screenshot on the device detail page to visually verify what is actually on screen — useful for spotting rendering issues or unauthorised content.
